Obtain a mid-level position that will allow me to use my extensive training in Computer Aided Drafting and afford me the opportunity to better my industrial terminology and practices while earning practical work experience.

(Luffman-Byers Telecom Inc. is a service organization providing SONET fiber, ethernet, DLC’s and xDSL equipment to residential and commercial areas)

Designed plans in AutoCAD for the placement of fiber from measurements taken in the field, reviewed drawings done for corrections, and organized and modified GIS maps.

 

Excell Communications (Birmingham, Alabama), Draftsman                September 2012-

(Excell Communications is an engineering firm which designs and markets network telecommunications infrastructure in the Southeast and Midwest United States)

Specialized in the placement of certain equipment through drawing and preparing construction drawings in CAD, checking measurements from field sketchers, determining clearances of equipment before placement, producing detailed wiring of equipment, served as project coordinator and verified final construction drawings for engineer’s stamp.

 

RSG Inc. (Sylacauga, Alabama), Externship Draftsman            October 2011–                                                                                 April 2012

(RSG is a contract engineering/global supplier of air classification systems and associated process equipment)

Designed various parts for pilot plant machinery, performed material take-offs from customer drawings, developed sales drawings and prepared plant and equipment layouts, developed production drawings from sketches by verifying measurements and drawing in CAD, and assisted the Engineering Manager in several time sensitive projects, finishing ahead of schedule.
